The Youth Insearch program is delivered by extensively trained Youth and Adult Leaders who are held in high regard. The Leader’s Graduation ceremony is conducted by the Governor General of Australia at Admiralty House each year. Youth Insearch has an alumni of hundreds of Youth Insearch Leaders from 30 years of operation of the program.

Leader Selection

Youth Insearch’s leaders are selected by the National Program Council. To become a Trainee Leader applicants must have: 

• attended 3 weekend workshops 
• gained tools to work through the issues in their lives 
• demonstrated leadership potential
• agreed to abide by the Youth Insearch Leaders Code of Ethics 

Training Program

Youth Insearch Leaders undergo an intensive 12 month training course consisting of:

• 3 stages of residential workshops
• 12 months of practical training and assessment in the Youth Insearch program
