Sign a Petition to Support Youth Insearch - Full Story
Galston Rotary and The Hills District Lion’s clubs have joined forces to raise awareness of the Youth Insearch program and the need for the Federal Government to help us service more young people, who are in desperate need of support.
Youth Insearch has traditionally received about 20% of its annual funding through the Federal Government, but with the increasing demand for the program, comes the logical progression that the Government should consider increasing the level of funding. With a slight funding increase Youth Insearch can move ever closer to meeting the demand. With an expansion plan in place, the next step is for Youth Insearch to secure the funds to make this level of expansion a reality.
The aim is to secure $601,200 from the Federal Government which will ensure 1900 young people attend Youth Insearch programs each year. This equates to the Government paying $316 per young person. This is a small commitment considering the outcomes and the fact that this investment would save the community over $3.8m per annum.
A petition is now available to be signed (on-line) with the Rotarians and Lion’s using their networks to spread the word.
